Welcome

Begin here, and take it slowly.

This is one sanctuary with six rooms. Two of them read you — your birth chart and your numbers. One is a book you walk a page at a time. One gives you a page for every day of the year. One turns a card over when the day asks you something. A sixth answers back when you want to think out loud.

Nothing here is graded and nothing expires. Your chart never changes, so it is read once and kept. Everything else is made to be returned to.

The order it works best in

Today's sky, the devotional and the cards are companions, not steps — open them from your first morning, in between gateways or before you have begun one. None of them waits on the workbook.

I · The workbook

The Four Gateways

A workbook to be walked rather than read. Four gateways, each resting on the one before it, with writing space that is kept as you go.

It is not a course to finish. It is a way of asking yourself honest questions in the right order.

How to use it

  1. 1Begin with Gateway 1. Each part inside a gateway is a teaching, a worksheet or a practice, and you move through in order.
  2. 2Write as you go. Everything you answer is saved to your account, so you can leave mid-gateway and come back to the exact step you were standing on.
  3. 3Mark a step done only when you have truly done it. The tracker shows how far each gateway has come, not how fast you are going.
  4. 4Keep the daily check-in: a mark and one line on what shifted. The streak is there to hold the practice, not to grade it.

II · The daily page

The daily devotional

A page for every day of the year — a short meditation, and a question to close it by. It follows the calendar, so the day you open is the day you are actually in.

This is the part of the practice that holds when the rest of it gets loud. One page, one question, one honest answer.

How to use it

  1. 1Open it in the morning, before the day fills up. It takes a few minutes, not an hour.
  2. 2Read the meditation slowly once, then read it a second time. The second reading is usually where it lands.
  3. 3Sit with the closing question through the day rather than answering it immediately, then answer it plainly.
  4. 4Miss a day and nothing is lost. Move back to any date and read it — the book is not a deadline.

III · The deck

The oracle cards

Forty-four cards. Each carries a theme, a meaning, an activation to do and a question to write into.

The deck is not for prediction. It is for what you already half know and have not said out loud yet.

How to use it

  1. 1Read the rite of the cards once before your first pull — sacred space, reading for yourself, reading for other people.
  2. 2Hold one question before you pull. A vague question gives a vague reading, every time.
  3. 3Pull a single card for the day, or choose a spread: soul calling for a call you keep hearing, making a decision for a choice in front of you, or past, present and future for a season you are walking through.
  4. 4Sit with the meaning, then do the activation. The card is only half read until the practice is done.
  5. 5Write into the question the card hands you. That answer is usually the reason you pulled it.

Reading a card

Every card hands you the same eight things

Read them in this order. The first five tell you what has arrived. The last three tell you what to do with it.

The name and the theme line
Every card is a doorway with a name. The line beneath it is the card's temperature — the mood it arrives in, not a definition.
The keywords
Two or three words that keep the reading honest. If none of them touch your situation, you are most likely reading the card you hoped for rather than the one you pulled.
The angel number
The number the card carries — the same numbers that turn up on clocks and receipts. Notice it, and let it follow you through the day.
The astrology
The sign, planet, moon phase or chart point paired with the card. If you keep a reading here, look that placement up in your own chart: the card is often speaking to one part of you rather than all of you.
The element
Fire, water, earth or air. Fire cards ask you to move, water cards to feel, earth cards to build, air cards to say the thing out loud.
The meaning
What the card says. Read it once plainly, then read it again with your question held in mind. The second reading is usually the one that answers you.
The activation
The practice that goes with the card: small, physical, and something you can actually do today. A card is only half read until the activation is done.
The inquiry
The question to write into. Answer it plainly rather than beautifully. That answer is usually the reason you pulled the card.

If you only do one thing

Begin with the reading. Stay for the work.

The reading takes three things: a date, a time and a place. Make yours first, then open Gateway 1 — the workbook is where the reading becomes something you live rather than something you read.
