Privacy policy

Fifth is a self-reflection app offering birth-chart and numerology readings, a daily devotional, a card reader, a guided workbook and a shared community room. In this policy, “we” means Fifth. Questions about anything here can be sent to alaina@lane13consulting.com.

Account details. Your email address, and the name you enter if you choose to. Your password is handled and stored by our platform provider in encrypted (hashed) form; we never see it.

Reading details. The name, birth date, birth time (or a note that the time is unknown) and birthplace you enter, together with the chart and numbers calculated from them.

Your writing. What you write in the workbook worksheets, your daily practice log, your nightly reviews, and the questions you send to Chat with Fifth.

Community content. Anything you post in the Sanctuary, along with the display name kept beside it, and any report or block you make.

Usage information. Basic, first-party counts of what is used in the app, such as a reading being created or a workbook step being completed. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking.

To create your chart and numbers and to show them back to you. To write the readings shown in the app, including the daily sky, the closing word at the end of a gateway, and the answers in Chat with Fifth. To save your workbook writing and practice so you can return to where you left off. To show your posts in the Sanctuary and to keep that room safe. To email you the things you ask for, such as a verification code, a password reset, a weekly reflection, or a note when you finish a gateway. To understand which parts of the app are used so we can improve them.

We do not sell your data, we do not rent it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Some writing in the app is generated with an AI text service. It is used only to write interpretive prose: your chart interpretation, the daily sky reading, the closing word at the end of a gateway, the newsletter reflection, and answers in Chat with Fifth. Chart positions and numbers themselves are calculated by the app, not by the AI. Prompts include only the app data needed for that piece of writing, and your data is not used to train AI models.

Fifth offers reflection and self-inquiry. It does not give medical, psychological, legal or financial advice and is not a substitute for professional care.

Fifth runs on Base44, a platform that provides the app’s hosting, database, account sign-in, file storage, email delivery and the AI text service described above. Base44 processes this data on our behalf and stores it on servers it operates. If you sign in with Google, Microsoft, Facebook or Apple, that provider confirms your identity to us and we receive your email address and name from them.

The app contains no payment processing, no advertising networks and no third-party analytics services. Your data is not shared with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

The app keeps your sign-in session in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in. It does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your data is kept on Base44’s servers for as long as your account exists. If you close your account, a 14-day grace period begins during which nothing is removed and you can cancel the request from your profile. When the grace period ends, your account, chart, workbook writing, practice log, reviews and Sanctuary posts are permanently deleted. A record that a deletion was completed is kept without your personal details.

You can see and change your name and sign-in details from your profile, edit or clear anything you have written in the workbook, delete your own Sanctuary posts, and close your account at any time from your profile. You can also write to alaina@lane13consulting.com to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to have it erased, and we will respond within 30 days.

Fifth is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, write to alaina@lane13consulting.com and the account and its data will be removed.

Your account is protected by your password and by the sign-in provider you choose. Your readings, writing, practice and profile are visible only to you, and to the app’s administrator for moderation and support. Sanctuary posts are visible to other signed-in members of the room. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
